Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil (preparation to cook the penne pasta)
Peel and dice the pumpkin and cook in a large saucepan of water for 20 mins; until soft
Slice the onion and crush the garlic cloves
Add the butter to a large frying pan, add the bacon pieces, onion and garlic and brown for 6-8 mins Add the penne pasta to the saucepan of boiling water and cook for 8-10 mins, drain the water once cooked
Add the chicken stock powder, dried mixed herbs, flour and garlic powder to a bowl and mix with 1c of water
Drain the water from the cooked pumpkin and mash until smooth, add the liquid from step 6 to the pumpkin and continue to mash until smooth
Add the pumpkin to the frying pan and stir to mix with the bacon
Add the cream to the frying pan and stir to mix with the bacon and pumpkin.
Bring to the boil and simmer for 4-5 mins Slice and steam the green beans for 8-10 mins
Add the cooked penne pasta to the frying pan and stir to coat in the pumpkin mixture, the pasta will absorb the liquid
