Ingredients
- 100 g Butter
- 3/4 c Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 1/2 c Flour
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 c Milk
- 1 Tin Peaches in Juice
Instructions
- Line a round cake tin with non stick baking paper
- Soften the butter, add to a mixing bowl with the sugar. Beat using an electric beater until light and creamy
- Add the egg to the mixing bowl and beat until combined
- Sift the flour and baking powder, add to the mixing bowl and mix with the butter until combined
- Add the milk and juice from the tinned peaches to the mixing bowl and beat until combined
- Spoon the mixture into the cake tin and top with the sliced peaches. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes
- Remove the cake from the oven once cooked, allow to settle for 2-3 minutes and then remove from the tin to completely cool (or you can serve it warm as a dessert)
