Sweet Peach Cake

  • 100 g Butter
  • 3/4 c Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/2 c Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 c Milk
  • 1 Tin Peaches in Juice


  • Preheat the oven to 180°C
  • Line a round cake tin with non stick baking paper
  • Soften the butter, add to a mixing bowl with the sugar. Beat using an electric beater until light and creamy
  • Add the egg to the mixing bowl and beat until combined
  • Sift the flour and baking powder, add to the mixing bowl and mix with the butter until combined
  • Add the milk and juice from the tinned peaches to the mixing bowl and beat until combined
  • Spoon the mixture into the cake tin and top with the sliced peaches. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes
  • Remove the cake from the oven once cooked, allow to settle for 2-3 minutes and then remove from the tin to completely cool (or you can serve it warm as a dessert)
