Ingredients

  • 1 Onion Diced
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 25 g Butter
  • 500 g Rump Steak
  • 400 g Tin of Condensed Tomato Soup
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 c Rice
  • 1 Broccoli
  • 2 Carrots

Beef Goulash Dry Mix

  • 1 tsp Beef Stock Powder
  • 2 tsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Curry Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Parsley
  • 2 tsp White Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Flour

Instructions

  • Slice the onion and crush the garlic cloves
  • Cut the rump steak into cubes
  • Add the butter to a large saucepan or frying pan
  • Add the onion, garlic and cubed steak to the saucepan and brown for 6-8 mins
  • Combine the ingredients for the beef goulash dry mix and add to the saucepan; stir to coat the beef
  • Add the tin of tomato soup, soy sauce and 3/4c of water to the saucepan. Cover and simmer for 30 mins or until the beef is tender; stir occasionally
  • Cook the rice according to packet directions
  • Peel and dice the carrots, dice the broccoli. Add to a saucepan with a small amount of water and boil for 8-10 minutes. Drain the water once cooked
  • Serve

Notes

The Goulash can also be cooked in the slow cooker for 4 hours on high or 4-6 hours on low.
