Ingredients
- 1 Onion Diced
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 25 g Butter
- 500 g Rump Steak
- 400 g Tin of Condensed Tomato Soup
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 c Rice
- 1 Broccoli
- 2 Carrots
Beef Goulash Dry Mix
- 1 tsp Beef Stock Powder
- 2 tsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Curry Powder
- 1 tsp Dried Parsley
- 2 tsp White Sugar
- 2 tbsp Flour
Instructions
- Slice the onion and crush the garlic cloves
- Cut the rump steak into cubes
- Add the butter to a large saucepan or frying pan
- Add the onion, garlic and cubed steak to the saucepan and brown for 6-8 mins
- Combine the ingredients for the beef goulash dry mix and add to the saucepan; stir to coat the beef
- Add the tin of tomato soup, soy sauce and 3/4c of water to the saucepan. Cover and simmer for 30 mins or until the beef is tender; stir occasionally
- Cook the rice according to packet directions
- Peel and dice the carrots, dice the broccoli. Add to a saucepan with a small amount of water and boil for 8-10 minutes. Drain the water once cooked
- Serve
Notes
The Goulash can also be cooked in the slow cooker for 4 hours on high or 4-6 hours on low.
